윈도우 7용 불법복제 방지 SW, “90일 마다 OS 정품 인증 체크"

마이크로소프트는 예고했던 일정에 맞춰 윈도우 7 사용자들을 대상으로 자사의 불법복제 방지 소프트웨어를 윈도우 업데이트(Windows Update)를 통해 배포하기 시작했다.

이번 WAT(Windows Activation Technologies) 업데이트는 기존에 WGA(Windows Genuine Advantage)로 알려져 있던 불법복제 방지 프로그램을 업데이트한 것이다. 그러나 이번에 업데이트된 프로그램은 정기적인 정품 인증을 위해 90일 마다 한번씩 마이크로소프트 서버에 연결되어 비판을 받고 있다.

지난 2월 11일 마이크로소프트는 WAT 업데이트를 발표하면서 윈도우 7를 불법 복제할 수 있는 결함을 70개 이상 발견해 업데이트가 필수적이라고 설명한 바 있다. 그래서 변화된 것이 주기적으로 운영체제를 마이크로소프트 서버에 연결해서 정품인증과 함께 새로운 결함을 추적할 수 있도록 한 것이다.

이와 관련해 이달 초 PFIR(People For Internet Responsibility) 공동 창업자인 로렌 웨인스테인은 사용자의 PC를 90일 마다 점검한다는 것은 받아들일 수 없는 것이라고 주장했다

특히, 이번 업데이트인 KB971033은 간단하게 ‘윈도우 7용 업데이트’라고만 표시되어 있고, 업데이트를 선택해야 오른쪽에 간단한 설명이 나타나는데 여기에도 반복적으로 정품인증을 한다는 사실은 명시되어 있지 않다는 점이 문제라는 지적이다.

윈도우 업데이트를 자동 다운로드 및 설치하도록 설정되어 있는 윈도우 7 사용자들은 KB971033 업데이트를 자동으로 받게 된다. 이 업데이트를 차단하기 위해서는 자동 업데이트(Automatic Updates) 설정을 바꾸어서 지연된 업데이트를 알려주기만 해서 원하는 것만 다운받을 수 있도록 해야 한다.

이미 이번 업데이트가 설치된 경우에는 제어판에서 WAT 업데이트를 삭제할 수 있다. 이런 삭제 옵션 역시 새롭게 등장한 기능으로, 이전까지는 WGA 업데이트를 삭제할 수 없었다. gkeizer@ix.netcom.com

2월 16일자 업데이트 KB971033 때문에 기존에 인증이 블랙스크린에 정품이 아니라는 메시지를 노출합니다.

 

이를 해결하기 위한 방법이 있다고 하네요. 현재 카리스마조님의 확인으로는 인증관련 파일이 변형이 되면 해당 메시지를 발생 한다고 합니다.

 

해결하기 위한 방법은 수동으로 oem키를 설치해주는 방식입니다.

 

카리스마조님의 A.I 최신버전을 다운 받아서 실행합니다. 얼티밋K 만 해당 됩니다.

작년 6월에 소개해드렸던 프로그램인데, 글 수정해서 새로 올려봅니다.

 

Auslogics Disk Defrag는 가볍고 빠른 무료 조각모음 프로그램입니다. 상용 프로그램에 비하면 최적화 부분에서 떨어질 수 있지만 기본적인 조각모음에는 이만한 프로그램이 없는 것 같습니다. 속도가 정말 빠른 편입니다.

 

사용법은 따로 설명드릴 필요가 없을 것 같습니다.

설치버전은 한글을 지원하는데 홈페이지에 링크된 포터블 버전은 한글을 지원하지 않더군요.

그런데 보니까 WinRAR SFX로 만들어져 있길래 제가 풀어서 한글 언어파일 넣고 재패키징 했습니다.
